Tears For Fears was the first act to play this all day event that included performances from Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Status Quo, Cliff Richard, Robert Plant and Dire Straits. Selections from this performace were released on a 2 CD set entitled Knebworth: The Album. Portions of this concert are also available on a home video release. Entire concert was broadcast globally. After this show, Curt Smith leaves Tears For Fears and would not perform with the band again for more than a decade.)
